Realme C51 comes with iPhone-like Dynamic Island; fancy stuff for Rs 8,999

The good thing about Realme is that it keeps adding phones to both ends of its price spectrum. The Chinese smartphone company has now added Realme C51 in India to the budget segment.

Priced at Rs 8,999, the Realme C51 packs some decent hardware inside.

The phone comes with a 6.74-inch HD+ LED display with a 90Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of up to 560 nits. The latest Realme phone is powered by the octa-core Unisoc T612 processor coupled with the Mali-G57 GPU.

The processor is supported by 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, which is expandable up to a massive 2TB with a microSD card.

The phone also supports RAM expansion technology offering up to 4GB of virtual RAM. The Realme C51 runs on Android 13 out-of-the-box.

On the back, the Realme C51 comes with a 50MP primary shooter with an f/1.8 aperture and an unspecified secondary sensor. For selfies and video calls, there is a 5MP selfie camera with an f/2.0 aperture on the front.

The primary camera comes with a number of photography features such as night mode, panoramic view, 50MP mode, and more.

The selfie camera notch appears to be inspired by the iPhone’s Dynamic Island. Although it’s not as fancy as the iPhone, the “Mini Capsule” does show dynamic notifications such as number of footsteps, battery percentage, data usage, and more.

The Realme C51 features a fitting battery of 5,000 mAh, which supports 33W SuperVOOC fast charging. The company claims the phone can be charged from 0 to 50 in just 28 minutes.

The company has priced the phone at Rs 8,999 with an additional discount of Rs 500 on HDFC, SBI, ICICI, Axis, and Kotak Bank cards.

The phone comes in Carbon Black and Mint Green color options. The phone is available on, Flipkart, and offline stores.

The Realme C51 also features a 3.5mm headphone jack, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, dual SIM support, and a 3-card slot. It measures 7.99 mm in thickness and weighs 186g.
