Xiaomi’s latest offering in electronics, the Redmi Smart Fire TV 4K, which was launched earlier this month, has gone on sale at the price of Rs 24,999.

The 43-inch smart TV is the latest from the company to debut in the country. As the name suggests, it comes with a 4K display with a 60Hz refresh rate and support for HDR10 content, which means this 43-inch smart TV is capable of streaming HDR content from OTT platforms.

The Redmi Smart Fire TV has a resolution of 3,840 x 2,160 pixels. The TV is powered by a quad-core A55 processor coupled with a Mali G52 MC1 GPU, 2GB RAM, and 8GB storage.

The TV offers multiple picture modes such as movie and music modes. The modes automatically finetune the overall TV-watching experience by delivering spatial sound and enhancing picture sharpness.

In the connectivity department, it offers Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi, AirPlay 3, and Miracast options. It also packs in strong audio capabilities with 24W speakers with Dolby Audio, DTS Virtual X, and DTS-HD technology. A 24W audio setup on a 43-inch TV should ensure immersive sound delivery.

The smart TV runs on Amazon’s Fire OS 7 and gives access to movies and TV shows with over 12,000 apps including Amazon Prime Video, Netflix, Disney+ Hotstar, Jio Cinema, and Zee5.

Users also get support for multiple profiles and features like parental control, Alexa voice assistant, and Amazon Fire TV.

It also features three HDMI ports, two USB ports, and an AV and 3.5mm audio jack.

The TV is available for purchase in India via Mi.com and Amazon. The company is also offering 1-year extended warranty for free on the smart TV.

According to a report by South China Morning Post, the Chinese smartphone giant recently got into a partnership with Dixon Technologies’ subsidiary Padget Electronics to increase production of its handsets and other devices in India.
