After Apple’s big launches a month ago, this is the next big update that is soon coming to iPhones. The iOS 17.2 update has been in the news for quite some time now. It is expected to reach your iPhones sometime in mid-December.
Of course, it’s not going to be as big as the iOS 17 but expect the update to bring some interesting features that Tim Cook talked about at the launch event.
Here we are highlighting a few best features, based on the beta, you can expect in the iOS 17.2 update. But mind you, there’s a chance that Apple may roll out some of these features in a later update.
The Journal app
It is one of the bigger features that Apple announced with iOS 17.
As the name suggests, the app will let you keep a journal in which you can add text, images, videos, and audio.
There are plenty of third-party apps that are doing this kind of thing, but Apple will take it up a notch by making suggestions of journal entries, based on your photos, locations, and other activities on the phone.
New option for Action button
The Action button will be more useful with iOS 17.2, especially on iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max.
A new Translate option is set to be added to the Action button. It will allow you to translate conversations live from one language to another with just the press of a button.
Collaborative playlist
With iOS 17.2, the collaborative playlist feature is coming to Apple Music. With this feature, you will be able to share playlists with friends and allow them to add their own tracks.
It will be similar to the feature Spotify already has.
New navigation tools
With the software update, you should see a new navigation bar at the top of the Apps and Games tabs in the App Store.
It will allow you to scroll through categories like entertainment, education, music, and more in Apps, or things like racing, casual, and puzzle, in Games.
